As we begin to reflect on this season we thank those who have gone before is in their work of spreading the gospel of Christ.
Paul who was formerly Saul had been transformed through his encounter with Jesus Christ. His convictions remained until the Lord called him home.
He was a man of deep conviction and frequently sent letters that we now read in our Bible in order to encourage the growing Church and spreading of the gospel to the nations. One of those Churches we read about was the Colassian Church. The book of Colossians was written during Paul’s imprisonment, in order to confront the heretical practices that went against the gospel of Christ. One being false teachings.
Christ is the invisible image of God, the Creator and sustainer of the universe. He is the head of the body, the Church and through Him forgiveness is possible.
Today I encourage you to read the first chapter of Colossians and give thanks to the Lord that we have His written word because of the boldness of faith of those who went before us.
The reward is greater when Jesus is made Lord in your heart and through Him, He has Crowned You in Beauty.
