It is well with my soul

I woke up I the middle of the night with these words playing in my head. "It is well, with my soul." My heart cried in sorrow thinking about these words. Could I, after losing my daughters still say "It is well, with my soul?"

I guess you don't know this kind of pain until you experience it.

I laid there, thinking of the ships colliding. The cries of those trying to save their loved ones. The chaos. The pain, The hurt. The faith in the waves. The tears and the hope.

It takes courage, stillness, peace, contentment, firm faith to pen these words and still believe "it is well." Mr. Spafford believed this. I wonder what he saw when he later passed near the area of those sunken ships. The Lord did shine His Glory on the area, passing by it is where he began to write the song. After facing additional tragedies in his life, my hope is that he continued to sing this song to the Lord.

Friend, today as you look at your circumstance I ask you a question. Could you look into you heart and lift your eyes to the Lord and say "It is well, it is well, with my soul?"

I hope I can, regardless of the situation I face in life. God is a good Father. When we lift our eyes to Him, He shows us that yes, it can be and it is well, it is well.

How? Because He is peace and security. He brings us those words of comfort in sometimes painful situations.

I'm still praying, asking God to reveal to me why He woke me up in the wee hours of the morning with this song. Maybe, just maybe, someone needed the Holy Spirit to tell them "it is well," through me? Maybe, they needed me to intercede for them?Whatever the case, I am here to do just that if that is what it was and is. God is a mystery that is timely.

Prayer moves mountains. It is our connection, DIRECT Connection, GPS when we are lost.

Be well my friend and lift your eyes to Him,
